Yoga therapy is derived from yoga tradition of Patanjali and Ayurvedic system of health and uses yoga techniques and practices, pranayama, meditation and guided imagery to help individuals facing health challenges at any level to manage their condition, reduce their symptoms, restore balance and increase vitality. It is a holistic way of healing and treating health conditions.

Yoga therapy sessions are conducted one-to-one basis. It can be provided adjunct to other forms of medical treatments or can be used directly to treat specific health conditions. It can be taken up by people of any age group.

The therapy sessions are modulated as per the need of the individual. There is a lot of emphasis on relaxation. If someone is gravely ill, the therapist will suggest the entire practise of breath awareness and relaxation until the patient is ready to take up more.
